At Lompoc Unified School District, we believe strong schools are built on collaboration. Our district committees bring together parents, staff, students, and community members to guide decision-making, strengthen programs, and ensure every student achieves.

The District English Learner Advisory Committee provides guidance on programs and services that support English Learners and their families. Members review data, share feedback, and help strengthen communication between schools and families of multilingual students.

The Parent Advisory Committee on Black Student Achievement works collaboratively with staff, families, and students to promote academic excellence, cultural awareness, and equitable opportunities for Black and African American students across LUSD.

The Special Education Advisory Committee brings together parents, educators, and community partners to discuss special education programs, services, and supports. Members advocate for inclusive practices and share input that helps improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

The LCAP Committee helps shape district goals and spending priorities to support student achievement. Members review progress data, share community feedback, and ensure that district plans reflect the needs of all students.

The Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee monitors the responsible use of Measure M bond funds, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent as voters intended on projects that enhance student learning environments and district facilities.
The LUSD Wellness Committee advises the district on health-related issues, activities, policies, regulations, and programs, and develops goals for nutrition education and promotion, physical activity, and other school-based activities that are designed to promote student wellness. LUSD Board Policy 5030 guides how our schools build a coordinated school health system that supports and reinforces health literacy through health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, psychological and counseling services, health promotion for staff, a safe and healthy school environment, and parent/guardian and community involvement. Healthier school environments help support student learning and behavior.
Meetings are typically held on the third Wednesday of the month, when school is in session. Meeting attendance can be in person or virtually.
